East Lake Science City Builds Laser Industry Innovation Cluster
Recently, Hubei East Lake Science City·Optics Valley International Green Laser Industry Base officially started construction. The industrial base is one of the seven functional areas of Hubei East Lake Science City - the core component of the optoelectronic information industry cluster, including innovation platform areas, enterprises The agglomeration area and the supporting service area are divided into three parts. At the same time, Wuhan East Lake High-tech Zone released the laser industry development plan and policy of East Lake Science City, aiming to create a laser industry innovation cluster with global influence.
The "Planning" proposes that the laser industry cluster of Hubei Donghu Science City implements the "135" industrial development strategy, that is, with the overall goal of building a laser industry innovation cluster with global influence, and promoting the "three-chain integration" of innovation chain, industrial chain and value chain , to implement five key projects of industrial space optimization, industrial scale doubling, innovation capability jumping, core product research, and service capability strengthening. By 2025, the output value of laser enterprises above designated size will reach 100 billion yuan, driving the total income of upstream and downstream enterprises in the laser industry chain to exceed 500 billion yuan, becoming a strong support for the trillion-level laser industry in Donghu High-tech Zone. By 2035, the output value of laser enterprises above designated size will reach 300 billion yuan, driving the total income of upstream and downstream enterprises in the laser industry chain to exceed 1 trillion yuan, creating a trillion-level laser industry cluster, and becoming a growth pole for the development of the "optical core screen terminal network" industry. and core support.
"Several Policies" pointed out that from the three major aspects of making the industry bigger and stronger, targeting emerging applications, and improving the industrial ecology, ten supporting policies were launched, and a 10 billion industrial development fund was established. Industrial enterprises conducting R&D and production in the field of lasers and complete sets of laser equipment will provide all-round support, with incentives and subsidies up to US$100 million.
